Vincenza Berardo, PhD
Biography

Although I was born and raised in Florida, I am proud to now make my home in New England. My research focuses on epistemology and metacognition, both in the classroom and in ancient philosophy. It turns out that the questions "What does Socrates know?" and "Does Socrates know what he knows?" are very similar in kind to "What do my students know?" and "Do they know that they know it?"
Academic Background
I received my BA degree in philosophy and classical studies at Rollins College, my MS degree in logic, computation, and methodology at Carnegie Mellon University, and my PhD from Florida State University.
Teaching Experience
In the last decade I have been privileged to teach philosophy at Florida State University, Tallahassee Community College, University of West Florida, University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Regis College, and Saint Anselm's College. I am currently adjuncting at Saint Anselm's in both their philosophy department and their first-year liberal arts curriculum.
